Food, Black Grouper, brussel sprouts & hushpuppies were all outstanding. The chowder was good, but not great. Grits were a little too creamy.

Had the pleasure of dining at Jonah's for the first time, and I was beyond impressed! I tried the grouper sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious--we will be back!

Great seafood restaurant and very reasonably priced for the quality. Super casual atmosphere.

We ate outside because we had our dog with us while traveling. Nice, relaxing experience. Food was plentiful and good. Fried green tomatoes and spicy shrimp for appetizers. Blackened grouper for entree with mashed potatoes and collard greens. Very good.

Spectacular food and great service! The restaurant is located in the very quaint Thomasville, GA historic center. There is indoor and outdoor dining available. The outdoor dining is in a very beautiful alleyway, lush with trees and outdoor plants which canopy provide a lot of shade. I went by myself and sat inside. I had fried green tomatoes to start, because when in the south, you gotta have them.. as well as sweet tea. As the main dish I had the black grouper with a side of grits and vegetables. The fish was perfectly cooked and flaky and the grits were creamy and delicious! I definitely will be coming back to try some other delicious looking items on the menu. Many thanks to the waitress for keeping my glass full of sweet tea because I was very thirsty! Only thing I wish would change is the music selection. I'm not a big fan of Christian music. But, we are there to eat after all, and that was all good.

We had a great lunch today. The front entrance was clean, well kept & inviting. The Christian music playing truly made it even better of an experience. As a spirit filled person, I felt the presence of God while enjoying my lunch date with my husband. We had a great waiter, Willie! He was very on top of our drinks & checking on us. He was super kind. Ordered these AMAZING Cyclopes shrimp appetizer & they were literally SO DELICIOUS! Perfect sauce amount as well as phenomenal batter. Very southern, great hushpuppies as a starter, delicious crab cake BLT. The grits were delicious too! Perfectly seasoned AND hot, fresh fries. We would absolutely recommend & go back! Take your friends & family and enjoy this peaceful & pleasant restaurant.

Thomasville is such a quaint Southern town. I'm driving thru headed East and it's always worth the stop. First time here and it was not a disappointment. So Good!! Inside of restaurant lets you know that you are welcomed and ready to eat well. It looks like a fresh made from scratch restaurant and its sounds like it as well. You can hear the clank of plates in the kitchen, people chattering, staff serving. Cool place to come eat. Hush Puppies when you sit down. Perfectly seasoned, crunchy exterior and moist inside. I could have ate all 3 of them. Saving room for rest of my food. I will take pics of each course. Typing as I go. Cant wait for my next course. I ordered a house salad as a side, you get two sides with some entrees. As expected, super fresh and crisp greens. Feta cheese creamy, candied walnuts, light citrus vinaigrette. It's actually a big salad for being an upgraded side option. It's time for the dinner plate now!!! Ok wow. Blackened Black Grouper was cooked to perfection. Great heat in the spice. Fish glistening. Man so good and the collard greens are excellent. Smokey bacon flavor garlic and a broth to die for. I ordered some shrimp on the side and blackened them as well. I'm so happy. Please go here. Great service. Fresh and Fast. Southern cooking at its finest. Can tell the locals come here. Really good. I'll be back to eat the Shrimp and Grits with room for dessert. See this place soon!!!

Food is always phenomenal! From the complimentary hush puppies that are fresh, sweet and airy to the famous shrimp and grits! Very popular restaurant so expect to wait... good service and great location. Always a must when in Thomasville!

Babeeee!!! When I tell you the food at this place is AMAZING, you better believe it!! We went on a Saturday night and it was an hour wait. But it was definitely worth the wait!! EVERYTHING & I do mean EVERYTHING WE ATE WAS DELICIOUS!! If there's a word better than delicious, it's all that and more!! We ordered the Cyclone Shrimp. The shrimp was incredibly fresh and I loved that it wasn't heavily breaded! Also, the Crab Stuffed Salmon with Brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes was scrumptious!! The salmon was super juicy and flavorful! The FGT Sandwich, a chicken sandwich with a fried green tomato and bacon was delicious as well. Oh and those white cheddar grits will make you want to slap someone's mama! Lastly are those hush puppies!! They were so light and tasty! All in all, it is an excellent place to enjoy great food! The entire downtown Thomasville is a gem!

Growing up in Tallahassee, I'd heard about Thomasville and the famous Jonah's Fish & Grits. In college, I used to try coming on weekends while visiting the family at home but the wait was always so long. There's a small back patio that we always sit in because I usually bring the pup with me to Thomasville. In the summer, it gets quite hot, and with heat and humidity comes flies... but they have recently invested in these fly fans (not sure what exactly they're called but that's what I'm calling them lol) and they work perfectly against the army of flies that try to attack while eating. Pro tip - don't let them forget your complementary hush puppies! Hush puppy refills cost extra. But they are so so good that if you're hungry, it's worth the extra $. My favorite dish is the shrimp & scallop pesto pasta. It's rich and heavy but so freaking good. The shrimp scampi is also a good option but not as flavorful as the pesto pasta. Also SCALLOPS FTW. Not a pasta fan? Try the shrimp and grits or the big fish grouper sandwich (get it blackened for the ultimate flavor explosion). 100% my go-to restaurant when I'm day-tripping to Thomasville!
